But Austin has been pushing the boundaries lately. For some reason it works better for me to give a warning, count to three, and then take something away. But it has to be a physical thing, like a car (and I try to make it something he likes, but not his favorite thing, because that will just lead to a total meltdown). And I also haven't taken away books, snuggles, etc., because skipping part of the bedtime routine seems to make matters worse.<br /><br />We've also tried the positive reinforcement thing (mainly in the morning): giving him a dollar to get himself dressed and eat breakfast. It works fairly well - we do it for about a week and lose $5, but we don't have to continue it after that - it just becomes part of the routine. Sucker!!!!<br /><br />Kelly is out of the country Sept 24-Nov (although I leave Oct 20, so I guess only about 4 weeks count). Anyway... I'm looking at single parenting it and am pretty scared!
